Then head out back and dig out gopher holes, flush quail out of the brush, and jump on all the big boulders.
Then come back up to the house and Mom brushes my coat carefully and checks me over.
After that, I’d like to go for a ride in the minivan to some place I’ve never been with just Mom and me.
