If a pet wished for a fairy godmother, then the organization Many Paws Volunteer Transport (MPVT) would be there in a heartbeat. This organization can’t turn pumpkins into carriages, and they don’t set midnight curfews either. Their magic comes from the people who volunteer their services and give their time to pets in need.

Every pet wants to feel safe and wanted. MPVT grants these wishes to every pet that they help. They can secure transportation to pets who need a safe temporary, or permanent residence through a registered rescuer or adopter. Many pets in the custody of MPVT are obtained by shelters, owners who are unable to take care of their pets, and military families.

Operating in the United States except for Alaska and Hawaii, MPVT operates with a team of volunteers that adhere to a very strict guideline for transporting pets across the country. They refer to their pet passengers as Very Important Pets (VIPS).

The organization believes that every pet that they transport is important and worth the miles they drive to get to their destinations. Hundreds of pets have found their fairy tale ending with MPVT, and the number of animals to be saved by them is growing.

One of the many success stories that MPVT has had was with a coonhound named Romeo. Romeo was abandoned in the Sonoran Desert, emaciated and homeless. Fostered by shelter, he regained his strength and health. When he was ready to be adopted by his forever family, MPVT escorted him to his new home.

Many people wonder how they can help. That’s easy. Just click on the volunteer application tab on their website at manypawsvolunteertransport.org, and fill out your information. This organization’s duty and mission is to keep pets safe by transporting them to homes that will respect them. Let’s give a high paw to MPVT.

MPVT is important because they are one of many organizations that are changing how we place animals in the United States. This organization has gone the extra mile to put animals first. Many people out there don’t know that this kind of help is obtainable for animals out there. Informing people of their existence can help animal rescue organizations like this one get the funds, supplies, volunteers, and exposure that they deserve.

Everybody deserves a Cinderella story. Yes, life isn’t perfect but knowing that you have the basic necessities of life is crucial to being happy, healthy, and content. Many people who work for animal rescues don’t get paid.

For the people who volunteer their services, compensation is not the first thing that comes to mind. Knowing that a person is willing to help without taking money only ensures that they are there for the right reasons, and that they have the best interest of the animal they are helping.

Have you ever thought about it? Animals don’t think about what they are getting in return for protecting us and loving us unconditionally, so why should people ever think of compensation when they are protecting the welfare of an animal? Giving back is so important. When you help those other than yourself, you must admit that you feel a little bit better about yourself.

Knowing that you have changed the life of someone for the better lets you know that you have paid it forward. Make dreams come true. Volunteer at your local animal rescue. If you don’t have the time to volunteer, you can always donate supplies and make a monetary donation instead.

If animals could speak for themselves, they would. The reality is that most animals can’t change their situation, especially if their situation is negative. That’s why it’s important for good people to be advocates for animals in need.

With organizations like Many Paws Volunteer Transport, good people are putting themselves on the frontlines to help animals and place them in homes where they are appreciated and loved. A fairytale doesn’t have to be made up. Some fairytales live in the real world, and with real happy endings.
